Evan A. Baker Celebration Of Life Memorial

Donation protected
On November 2, 2022 at 1:05pm, our dear, sweet, gentle Evan died. His death was sudden and unexpected and everyone has suffered because of it.

During the pandemic—summer of 2020–we left LA and came to Portland, OR, where we built a home together. Most of our friends are still down south, and couldn’t be here for the small service we had in November. We would like to have a memorial down there for him in April (his birthday would be the 27th) so that all of his loved ones can come together and celebrate his life.

Evan grew up in Orange County and after a stint at Hampshire College back east, he graduated from CSU Monterey Bay with a BA in Teledramatic Arts and Technology and received his MFA in Film and Television from Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles.

Evan was funny in a way that surprised and delighted people daily. His wit and charm were unmatched. He was brilliant and talented and kind and compassionate. He was a helper; a giver; a friend to the friendless.

He made people believe in themselves. He showed us all our true potential; how great we could be.

He was a prolific filmmaker and leaves behind an incredible body of work. I will do everything I can to carry on his name and keep telling the stories we created together.
