Evan Denison Memorial Fund

Members of the Cavalier Marching Band welcomed Evan Denison into the Band Family when he arrived on UVA Grounds in 2018. After marching in the trumpet section, Evan earned his role as a Cavalier Marching Band Drum Major in Spring of 2020. For three years Evan led the band through his enthusiasm for his peers, his passion for music and his empathy, and compassion for others. Evan energized anyone he interacted with. He had a deep love for music and leadership and knew its powerful role in creating community.

Evan was a beautiful and pure soul that brought joy to everyone he met. He was wise beyond his years and known to be a compassionate, caring, and present-minded young man.

Evan built his legacy on lifting others up and investing in people around him. He was such a special young man and it was truly because of Evan that the world was a brighter place.

The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be donated by Evan’s family to create the Evan Denison Memorial Scholarship Fund, to support Cavalier Marching Band members’ passions for music as they pursue their education at UVA.
