Help Evan Collins get to the world Championships

This is Laura, Evan’s mom.

As many of you know, Evan is a dedicated kick-boxer.

He has been training for 10 years with the incredible Ian Kingston at West Cork Kickboxing club.

Evan went to his first international competition at the age of 9 and he has travelled both nationally and internationally every year since.

Evan has qualified for the Irish Team for the past 3 years and it all leads up to this years World Championships in Budapest at the end of August. Evan will represent Ireland and West Cork in 2 categories where he will compete against the best kick-boxers from around the world.

The road to Budapest has been long and expensive. Evan trains incredibly hard, currently 4 times a week. This will increase as we approach August. Much of this training takes place in Dublin.

In preparation for the World Championships, Evan has recently travelled to Turkey, Italy and Hungary to compete in World Cup Competitions. He even brought home some well earned silverware after his hard work and dedication. Evan will also attend a high performance training camp in the UK in early August.

It is an honour for Evan to represent his country and bear the Irish flag. We cannot put into words how proud we are of him. It does come at an enormous cost. The entirity of the cost is on the competitor. Even his Irish tracksuit and competition uniform costs over €400!

A parent must also travel with the competitor so the cost of flights, accommodation, food, competition fees and training equipment adds up to a substantial amount.

if anyone would like to donate to help Evan get to Budapest we would be so greatful.

if by any small chance the target is passed then we will donate the excess to the West Cork Kickboxing Club, thus helping the younger athletes in the club to train with the best club in the country through the purchase of new equipment.
