Hi, I'm Evan Kennedy, an artist living in Portland, Oregon Evan's Facebook Page
My family is raising money to help me go back to a program that is getting me out of my wheelchair and walking on my own for the first time in my life. Last summer I spent five weeks at a clinic in Utah called, Neuroworx that is helping quadriplegics and people with neuromuscular disorders like mine get up on their feet. Watch the video above to see me working with my PT, Rick, and walking on my own for the first ever time using the robotic Lokomat!
I also learned to sit independently!
This therapy has given me significant gains, but I need to go back in order to get to the next level. Please help me get there this summer! We intend to combine four weeks at Neuroworx with a trip to see a world-renowned acupuncturist in New Mexico who is helping people like me to gain function in just one week of treatment. Click here to see the amazing results he is achieving. Dr. Jason Hao works miracles!
We have part of the money we need to make this trip, so this year we only need half of what we raised last year to make this possible. With more mobility and greater independence, I can extend the gift that is given to me and fulfill my dream of going to places where children and young people are imprisoned or impoverished and sharing the joy of art with them.
Gift Levels: Anyone who makes a contribution of $100 or more will receive a box of greeting cards of my art. Those contributing $500 or more will receive a canvas print of one of my original works, and anyone contributing $1,000 or more will receive one of my original paintings.
Your gift of ANY amount will make a difference. It provides the opportunity to help me become independent and make my world so much bigger and richer than is possible to imagine.
Thank you!
