Evan's New Pacemaker and Bucket List

Hi all I'm Michelle, Evan Jones' girlfriend, and I'm fundraising for Evan's new Pacemaker battery Surgery and helping him pursue his dreams of changing his life after this crazy experience.

On March 11, 2011, Evan was sleeping in his bed and woke up and couldn’t see from his left eye and had a blood clot in his leg. His girlfriend took him to the hospital, where he was told to undergo surgery immediately. He received a mechanical right valve and then had to stay in the hospital for 23 days while the doctor debated whether he needed a pacemaker to live. Finally, on March 25, he had his pacemaker inserted.

Evan was a healthy 26-year-old man with no drug use or pre-existing conditions that could have led to any Heart issues. Instead, the doctors suspected it could have been caused by bacteria from his mouth that caused the Endocarditis. He also had a stroke due to a blood clot which left him blind in his left eye.

This year, Evan will be receiving a New Pace Maker Battery after 11 years. This journey has been full of hardships, from evictions to losing his jobs, but Evan has brought light and magic to those around him despite the circumstances.

Being inspired by his struggles, Evan still hopes to live his life to the fullest and encourages him to see, eat and experience everything he can.

The Amazing Bucket list experience was created from his bucket list to remind everyone that life is too short and to do the things that excite you, scare you and push you out of your comfort zone. The goal is to check off Bucket list items and coach and help others achieve their Bucket list check.
