Eva's Promise

Directed by the Emmy Award-winning documentarian Steve McCarthy, Eva’s Promise is the story of Eva, who promised her brother she would retrieve his paintings from his attic hiding place if he perished in the camps. After the war, Heinz and Eva’s mother married Otto Frank, Anne Frank’s father, and their story remained in the shadow of The Diary of a Young Girl. This film showcases Heinz’s artistry and Eva’s dedication to share his story.
