Eve of Beltane is a story for our time and all time. Our theatrical company will be presenting a reading at the Broadway Bound Festival Tuesday, August 6th at 2pm at The Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street in NYC. In order to produce this reading and prepare this play for further development, we need to raise $5000 over the next month. All monies raised will go to compensate actors and musicians, to secure rehearsal space, and to promote and produce the show.
Your support will mean that this company can mount a free reading at the Broadway Bound Festival to share Eve of Beltane's important message with a multitude of New Yorkers and visitors. This play, in combination with beautiful music, touches hearts and minds. The entire company will be forever grateful for your belief in this show's importance.
The Eve of Beltane tells the oh-so-familiar tale of forbidden love, yet examines the very fabric of the nature of love beyond life as we know it. Beyond time and space, characters find that divine love can penetrate all of the perceived boundaries of race, nation, and class. From playwright Coni Koepfinger and writer, composer, and lyricist Joe Izen, this visionary tale of a village gone astray features music direction by Henry Aronson, direction by Cailín Heffernan, and a stellar cast.
