EVELYN (EVA) WEBER'S FINAL REST.....

Donation protected
How I wish I didn't have to do this but I am left with no other options...

My Grandmother, Evelyn (Eva) Weber, left this life on 12-12-23, just six days after her 90th birthday. I was her primary caregiver since March of '23 until dementia progressed beyond the scope of my caretaker abilities at which time I placed her in a home carefully chosen to accommodate her needs. I regret nothing! I was honored to have the opportunity to get to know my grandmother on a more intimate level shared between just her and I....I miss her even though she was sometimes the most difficult person on the planet to get along with.

Anyway, Eva left behind four of her offspring who decided that they are just going to walk away from the moral obligation of handling her final details and just let the state of Louisiana take care of it since being cremated is what would end up happening anyway and they could avoid having to come out of pocket for it. That means the state would just dispose of her cremains as they deem suitable..... like throw her ashes in the trash! I just can't see myself allowing things to go down like that for a loved one.

Legally I had to wait 30 days before I could step forward as an interested party which I did. YEP... I just took responsibility for the cost of her final details with money I don't have!!! I HAD TO!!! I COULD NOT JUST THROW HER AWAY LIKE THAT! I'M EMBARASSED TO EVEN HAVE TO TELL THIS STORY...UGH!

I'm reaching out to everyone to help me get this done. The funeral director is gracious enough to work with me but time is of the essence. Its appalling to think of my grandmother laying embalmed in that funeral home for over 30 days now. PLEASE HELP ME ACHEIVE THIS GOAL OF RAISING THE FUNDS NEEDED TO GET HER TO HER FINAL REST!

I LOVE AND MISS YOU MAW-MAW.... THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!

REVISION: There has been some doubt on some of the media platforms I have shared this with as to the validity of the story because of all the scams out there. Therefore, I spoke with the funeral home and have permission to post this: If anyone would feel more comfortable donating directly to the funeral home they can do so. Simply call Mothes Funeral Home in Algiers 5zero4-3six6-forty-three forty-three. Please be advised that they charge 2.5% convenience fee for card payments.
