About Us

We are a community-focused, small batch brewery located in Burlington Connecticut that needs to expand in order to stay competitive.

If you are familiar with Evening Sky Brewing Company in Burlington CT, then we hope that we have provided you with great craft beverages, positively unique taproom experiences, and super-friendly service throughout the past couple of years.

Those of you that do know us, understand that after a very difficult planning and startup during the height of the global pandemic, we ultimately were able to open our doors to the public. We set out to make some of the best craft beer in the area while simultaneously supporting our local community and helping to raise funds for meaningful charitable organizations.

We have had quite the ride, through changes in ownership and staff, the evolution of our products, realigning operations, adjusting for inflation within our economy, difficulties in obtaining materials and an industry-wide slowdown.

One thing that has become evident to us is that we are no longer operating at the correct scale to sustain ourselves. What is meant by that, is that we never seem to be able to produce enough of our craft beer to meet the demand, both inside and outside the tasting room. With the significant overhead that we have, our current brewing system is undersized, this is a problem that we must solve.

What specifically brings us to GoFundMe?

Well, it is time for us to scale up to a new system in order to stay competitive. This requires funding.

What do we hope to gain?

Economies of scale, greater efficiency in the brew house, more offerings in the taproom, expanded distribution, improved market relevancy, increased community outreach and to become a profitable business venture.

What do we plan to do?

We have spent a great deal of time researching and planning for a new brew house that is twice the size of our current system. The good news is that it can fit into our existing space! We also narrowed the scope down to one provider and have obtained a solid quote with respectable discounts. The new system is expensive, but we are only seeking to raise funds for approximately 29% of the total cost.

All in, the system, additional cellaring tanks, mechanical services to commission and freight charges amount to $96,997.23.

We have raised some funds already to begin this process but are seeking to raise $28,464 through this campaign in order to complete the project.
