A horror-comedy pilot, "Events at Hemlock Manor" follows a ragtag group of haunted house employees who will do whatever it takes to keep their business from going bankrupt.

The script has also placed in competitions, including Quarterfinalst for the 2022 Screenwriters Network Screenplay Competition and Finalist for the 2022 Script Summit. It has also been nominated to win "Best Plot" at the 2022 Script Summit. Events at Hemlock Manor is currently ranked #1 on the Red List for Comedy Web Series for the Past Month, #9 for the Past Year, and #20 for All-Time.

Who We Are

Katie North

Writer, Director, Actor, Producer

A multi-hyphenate artist, Katie studied acting at Yale's Summer Conservatory, screenwriting at NYU's certificate program, and neuroscience at Princeton, where she graduated cum laude. Katie enjoys writing dark comedy, and her pilot "Mourning Glory" made it to #3 on the Red List for half-hour comedy. Katie recently played Brianne in the New York premiere of Eric Bogosian's play, "1+1". A self-proclaimed 'doer,' Katie wrote "Events at Hemlock Manor" because she knew she could shoot it: she grew up on location. Katie's mom (who gets a small cameo!) turned their entire home into a haunted house every Halloween, complete with holograms, life-sized monsters, and enough severed body parts to make a lasting impact on any childhood.

JT Tsou

Executive Producer

JT Tsou is a first generation Asian-American Brooklyn based Writer/Producer for both live-action and animation. Her writing credits include Nickelodeon, Disney, Netflix, and more. Her passion for storytelling first began at age four, when she would dictate stories to her mom, who would lovingly oblige and type them out for JT. Growing up in a large mixed race bilingual immigrant household, JT uses her colorful world as the palette from which she creates her stories. It is her constant goal and desire to make art that not only entertains, informs, and excites, but also bridges divergent worlds. JT loves working on a wide variety of projects and in many genres (horror, comedy, rom-com, dramedy, dark comedy, etc.). When she's not writing her own projects, she's helping bring to life the work of other artists.
