Everest's Skull Reconstruction Surgery
Donation protected
We are raising funds for my nephew Everest. Everest was born with a very rare syndrome, Simpson Golabi Behmel syndrome. Everest has undergone many surgeries and procedures throughout life and is currently in the PICU at Presbyterian hospital in Charlotte. Everest will be receiving a skull reconstruction surgery tomorrow that will require my sister, Courtney (Co), to be home with Everest for many weeks during recovery. This time away from work is hitting them hard, especially around the holidays. Co is a single parent who works three jobs to ensure Everest has the best care. She drives a 20 year old car with almost 300,000 miles on it. Co and Everest live in Asheville and work with a Cleft Palate Team there but often have appointments in Charlotte with neurology, mental health, and oncology healthcare providers.
Everest is the most amazing kid who shows incredible bravery and resilience despite multiple medical issues. Co is a devoted parent who fights tirelessly to advocate and care for Everest. This holiday season, we would love to take some of the financial stress off of their family. We are raising money for them since Co is unable to work while Everest is recovering. Any amount you can give is so appreciated by our family! Your donation will go to Everest's ongoing medical expenses, bills, and reliable transportation for Co as they drive to and from many appointments.
