Everett (Buddy) Cotter

Hi, my name is Angela Houlihan. I have started this Go Fund Me page on behalf of Brian and Ashley Cotter!

Brian is the son of JoAnn Bellissimo Buhler and Charlie Buhler. Ashley Cotter is the daughter of Frank and Julie Dell'Aira.

 

Earlier today after a visit to the Stony Brook emergency room Ruby’s little brother Everett (Buddy) was admitted to Columbia’s cardiac PICU. One room over from where Ruby lived when she was sick.

Never in a million years did we think our happy healthy boy would be where his sister was almost two years ago. He has an enlarged heart (cardiomyopathy), same as Ruby had.

It is unknown what the outcome of his illness will be but we are really hoping he can come home without a heart transplant. It is too early to tell.

He is intubated and sedated. He is on a lot of medication but hopefully the rest and medication will help.

We are thankful to be in the best hands here at NYP. We are also thankful for the quick response of the ER team at Stony Brook.

This is the way we updated people when Ruby was sick so we will do the same with Buddy (big boy little man).
