An Elevator Lift for Everett!

My name is Lois, and I am raising money towards an elevator lift for my grandson Everett. The costs include the actual cost of the elevator device and the structural changes necessary for installation. After consideration of all options, an elevator lift is the most practical fit for Everett’s home. An elevator is required for Everett to access his bedroom and second floor for now and in the future. Everett lives with his parents, Tyler and Michelle and his little sister Adelaide in a two-story home.

Like all children his age, Everett has grown and is a tall boy. With every increase in growth, his parents' ability to lift and carry him safely is quickly slipping away. More adaptive changes to the house are needed now and in the future, so the cost of adapting their house for his needs continues to rise. A genuinely accessible home is my dream for my grandson so that he can enjoy his daily routine and home life to the maximum!

At birth, Everett acquired a brain injury resulting in life-long physical disabilities and multiple diagnoses, including Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. With a number of adaptive changes already made to their home and yard, Everett has been able to enjoy his life with his family and friends. Everett is an enthusiastic 6-year-old boy who loves baseball, playing music, and spending time with his family and friends. His parents have poured their heart out for this boy in all they do and it hasn’t come without sacrifices for them.

I want Everett to thrive and independently enjoy the whole home he so dearly loves, and an elevator is a critical tool to achieve this. An elevator allows Everett to enjoy all spaces in his home, as any other child would.
