Everlong Farm Tractor Fund
Donation protected
In the winter of 2023 our farm was hit by the worst continued flooding we had ever seen on the farm. Coupled with bird flu restrictions the previous year our farm was hit hard financially as we were unable to sell any eggs or livestock. Because of this, to survive and keep a roof over our heads we had to sell our trusted old tractor to get us through until the following spring when the restrictions were lifted.
During this time we continued to love and care for our livestock as best we could under very difficult circumstances. The flooding that came over the winter of 2023 resulted in many of our newly created market garden beds to become water logged which lasted until April of this year.
As a result our growing season was stalled while we waited for conditions to improve. Yet again another financial hit to the farm as our veg box scheme had to be postponed.
After all these catastrophes we have now diversified what we do on the farm including opening the farm to the public with private sessions to spend time with our animals.
This has also included many children with special education needs as many of our animals are fantastic to be around.
We are looking for help to raise funds to help buy a tractor. This will enable us to do a lot of projects on the farm that we are unable to do by hand. This would include jobs such as converting old overgrown parts of the farm into new areas for our visitors that will add to their experience when they visit us here on the farm.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and our farm. We would love to see you at Everlong Farm at some point in the future.
