Hi, my name is Kari Woodman, I am one of Jennifer Orban’s (Watson) many friends. Myself and all of her friends have been blessed to have shared our lives with her in some way that has filled us with an immeasurable amount of love for Jennifer. As I reflect on the last 37-plus years, she has been there for me most of my life and has been my best friend. There is just no other Jennifer!
There have been several inquiries about whether there was a mechanism in place to help out Jennifer’s young Children due to the tragic loss of their mother. I felt compelled to set up this fundraiser for the loves of her life, the children that she leaves behind.
On May 18th, our beloved Jennifer Watson suffered a severe asthma attack which resulted in cardiac arrest. Jennifer was reunited with the Lord and peacefully passed on May 26th. Jennifer left us way too soon at the age of 50. She leaves behind 3 children; Kendra (22) Ashley (13) Ashton aka AJ (Age 10) and her first grandbaby Troy (10 months). Jennifer had a tremendous amount of love for her children and her grandbaby.
This sudden loss of Jennifer has left her loved ones shocked and heartbroken as nothing can truly prepare anyone for a tragedy such as this. Jennifer will be missed terribly by so many! Ashley and Ashton had already lost their father in 2015, so now Jennifer’s two youngest children are without support from both of their parents. As this tragedy unfolded, Jennifer’s family and children were praying for a miracle that wasn’t meant to be, and during their darkest hour chose to think of others' needs to give the “Gift of Life”. Jennifer’s gifts have impacted 4 lives which have also started to help her family with the healing process of Jennifer's passing.
The Watsons are a huge, loving and supportive family as many of us know who have always been tight with their friends, family and community. Jennifer’s oldest and only sister, Aunt Karen has been a true blessing to these children, Karen has such a big heart, She is selfless and has always been a huge support for Jennifer. As Karen will be embracing a very special level of aunt hood taking on the role of parenthood and trying her best to fill a parental role. Karen will take on the care, the love, the comfort, the abundance of support along with financials for her niece and nephew which can be challenging alone but also considering Ashley’s diabetes and any medical care required for both children along the way. While raising these beautiful children, any little bit of financial support will indeed be a true blessing, right back to her!
This fundraiser is all about the kids and the much-needed support for short term into long term with medical care, counseling, sports and just any extra help with anything that will give these kids the quality of life they deserve without their parents and help their aunt Karen needs to provide for them the best way that she possibly can.
I know her family will be forever grateful for any help with this that is received. If you can contribute to helping Jennifer’s young children, please consider this opportunity. The loss of a beloved family member and friend isn’t something any of us are ever really prepared for.
In this time of grief, with love, prayer and gratitude,
Much love,
Kari
