Eve's Gender Affirming Care Fund
Donation protected
Hi friends,
Many of you know me now as Eve, but maybe met me earlier in life as Jonathan, JC, Jonny, or even Cherub. If you're on this page, it's likely because we've shared moments of care along my journey, and those moments, however small or fleeting, are the things that have carried me this far in life. So thank you for any and many small moments we may have shared together.
My gender identity and gender expression are things that I came to question later in life, however, I think everything happens how and when it needs to. As I look forward to my 30th year of life, I step into a new chapter in which I actualize the tomboy trans girl I always was, but had trouble seeing and appreciating.
After starting my medical transition one year ago, I know my body and face still require more time with estrogen before I can undergo FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery), however, I still experience so many days of dysphoria caused by my face not looking as femme as I would hope. Working in retail/skincare, I'm constantly misgendered by customers and strangers who call me a man, or even awkwardly question me in restrooms.
I'm seeking community help to secure funds to receive gender affirming care -- in the form of injectable filler to feminize my face. Working closely with my Aesthetic Nurse Specialist over the past two years, we've made subtle changes to feminize my face, however, a limited budget always stood in the way of more corrective work to feminize my face.
It is my hope that through this fund, I can garner financial resources to achieve life-changing gender affirming care to prevent intense gender dysphoria and the potential emotional/physical violence that feels inherent to being a CHamoru trans indigenous girl. Thank you for your time and your kindness <3
xoxo,
Eve
