EVICTION PREVENTION for BLACK MOMS
Donation protected
2 mothers need funds ASAP to prevent eviction. One mother needs $1000 the other mother needs $800. Both mothers are hard-working. Both mothers have jobs. Both mothers fell on hard times a couple months back due to family deaths, physical abuse, and mental wellness challenges. Consequently, they have received eviction notices.
For Madison's poorest renters — particularly black women — evictions are disturbingly common, trapping US in a cycle of poverty with long-lasting repercussions on employment, health, relationships and overall stability.
“Eviction is fundamentally changing the face of poverty,” One way we can interpret eviction is like, ‘Oh, it’s a result of irresponsibility, it’s bad spending habits.’ But if ... you’re spending 80 percent of your income on rent, eviction is much more of an inevitability than an irresponsibility.”
Let's do what we do best MADISON and surrounding areas; let's make sure these two families do not end up on the street.
One mother has 4 small children and works 12 hours a day. The other mother has 3 small children and works 8hrs a day and runs a small business on the side.
They both have asked that I keep their identities private. They are well known in the community and are embarrassed by their situations.
I'm asking for a few hundred above the required amount to cover GOFundMe Fees and for the next woman that needs our SUPPORT.
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR SHOWING UP AND SHOWING OUT FOR OUR COMMUNITY
