Evie and Alfie: A Very British Love Story , Fringe Tour 2025
Donation protected
Hi Friends,
Alex Dallas and Jimmy Hogg here. You may recognise us from our award winning 5 star shows on the Fringes. Well, our good news is that we have a brand new show, starring our very own selves and directed by the acclaimed performer and writer, James Gangl.
Drawing on our experiences growing up in 1970's and 80's Britain, we have created a show that will introduce you to Evie and Alfie.
Meet Evie and Alfie—a retired, quintessentially British couple—as they potter around their house, drinking tea, bird spotting and reminiscing. From multiple award-winning Fringe legends Alex Dallas (Horseface, Sensible Footwear) and Jimmy Hogg (The Potato King) comes a comedy full of wit, verve and heart.
A tender, yet funny insight into an older couple's marriage with all its ups and downs. A glimpse into Evie and Alfie's world from their living room , looking back into their past and up to their present, they examine their life together.
A slice of life that will make you laugh , cry and want to hold someone's hand in the dark.
The tricky part is that we need to cover Production costs, including fees for a Director, Stage Manager, Photographer, Graphic Designer, travel, publicity, printing, and Fringe fees so we are asking you , friends, family and theatre lovers to contribute to our success. Every little helps.
We know we are living in strange and challenging times and we believe that live theatre is even more important then ever in creating community, bringing laughter, and an escape from the pressing issues of the day.
So any small or large donation will help us produce this new work which we hope to expand into a full length play beyond the Fringes .
Our first stop on the tour is Montreal Fringe in early June, and then Edmonton Fringe and Victoria Fringe in August. Then in the autumn we are looking to do a run in Toronto and Hamilton.
