Evie and me
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Emily, and I have started this fundraising page to help my beloved dog Evie and me in a time of profound desperation! I have had a rough old year and events in the past few days have pushed me to the edge!
As many know, I gave birth to lovely George in July this year and since then have been through quite a rough time. I developed post-natal pre-eclampsia and had to remain in hospital; since coming home, George has been struggling with his tummy, which has made life rather hard at times but we are getting through it!
I am a self-employed dog trainer, so since having to give up work, I am on little to no income until I get started again, which is hopefully going to be in November.
I saved up some money before George's arrival but unfortunately, I had to spend that all on vets fees for my sprocker Olive when she sustained an eye injury on a walk, we think from barbed wire. Thankfully, her eye has been saved and she is recovering well. Unfortunately, Olive was not insured.
Just a week later Evie, my Springer Spaniel was eating lots of grass and was seemingly feeling very unwell. We had found a towel in the dog room that looked like it had been chewed and some sick containing some towel, but we thought it was Sage, the labrador and that whatever she had eaten she had thrown up. The next day Evie was not eating and so we took her to the vet to get her checked out.
Since then she has been in and out of the vet having operations to remove the towel, which was extremely complicated and required three incisions to get it all out. There was then a risk of Peritonitis as her gut wall was so weak. Unfortunately this did happen and she had to be opened up again to remove the fluid that built up in her abdomen. She has been in the emergency vet overnight and at our usual vet during the day, which has incurred huge costs and we are now over our insurance limit, which I just cannot afford given everything.
Not only all of this, my car was stolen when I was taking her into the emergency vet on Friday night. Thankfully the car has been recovered but we don't yet know what they have taken or not taken from the car, which included a baby car seat, dog training equipment, two baby carriers for George and more bits and bobs.
We now have to pay to change the locks on the car and to the house as the keys have not been recovered. We also need to pay for the car being seized and reviewed for evidence.
So I have set up this page in the hope that people will give a little to help a lot. Any help will be hugely appreicated and any funds left over will be donated to animal charities.
