Evie’s journey with Myocarditis
Evie has been in the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle with a suspected diagnosis of a serious heart condition called Myocarditis which affects the heart muscle and functioning of the heart. This all started down to a viral infection (Bronchilitis) and was breathless, coughing, pale, cold hands and feet due to poor circulation. She is on specialist treatment and so far has responded amazingly to the medication considering the poor level of function. Evie could be discharged soon providing no new issues arise. This not the end of the road, we will continue medication and have regular check ups to see if the functioning of her heart has improved. My main aim for this is to raise money for an amazing ward who do such wonderful things with children and I’m so grateful for everything they have done and will continue to do for my daughter.
