Emma’s fight against cancer

Hi, my name is Tiffany and my mom needs your help! For the last year she hasn't been acting herself. Mood changes, memory loss, and balance issues. 4 Months ago mom began to start falling and her memory started to get worse. Everything started to feel off and I brought her Baptist and they found nothing wrong. A few weeks later, her symptoms were becoming worse and her balance was just bad. She kept falling. She got lost going to Dairy Queen. My brother decided he would bring her to Methodist and that is where we found out she had a Glioblastoma on her right side of the brain. It is a Type 4. The Tumor is aggressive and the swelling was causing personality changes, memory loss and balance issues. It was also causing swelling against her brain stem. If she didn't have the surgery, she would have, give or take 4 months. We went home and she then decided for a second opinion at MD Anderson where she decided she would get the surgery, she also agreed with chemo and radiation treatments at home. The surgey was over 12 hours long and they got over 90% of the tumor. the rest was around blood vessels and they were afraid to touch them. She is still getting around and Chemo has officially started! Her Medical bills and Radiation treatments bill have begun coming in. She worked almost 20 years in a nursing home where she gave her life to making sure she was there for her residents. She worked 30 years as a beautician and was an ear for people who needed a friend to vent to and to also make them feel beautiful. She’s also a mom and she needs all the support she can get.
