Evy Sayavong’s Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle
Donation protected
I am helping my daughter, Evy Sayavong set up her gofundme account. Here is what she would she would like to share:
From Evy:
In 2019, I was diagnosed with acute flaccid myelitis, a rare condition that drastically altered my life. It left me paralyzed from the shoulders down and dependent on a ventilator for breathing. Since then, every day has been a courageous battle, but amidst the challenges, there's a deep desire to reclaim some semblance of normalcy and independence.
As a parent of two wonderful children, the longing to actively participate in their lives, to share in their joys, and to be there for them as they grow is immeasurable. However, the limitations imposed by my condition often hinder these aspirations.
A wheelchair-accessible vehicle represents far more than just transportation; it symbolizes freedom, autonomy, and the ability to partake in life's moments without barriers. It means being able to take my children on adventures, to experience the world alongside them, and to create cherished memories together.
Moreover, it opens the door to social gatherings and events, providing opportunities for connection and engagement that are essential for mental and emotional well-being. Additionally, it facilitates access to crucial medical appointments, ensuring that I can receive the care and support needed to manage my condition and maintain my health.
Your generous support in helping me acquire a wheelchair-accessible vehicle would not only enhance my quality of life but also empower me to be an active participant in my family, my community, and the world around me. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to achieving greater freedom and independence. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
