Monterey Bay Crossing
Donation protected
On August 23rd at 3:30 am a team of five swimmers will be jumping into the cool water of the Monterey Bay Myself, along with Frank Reynolds, Paul Reynolds, Michael Scharf and Joe Schertler will be embarking on a relay swim from Santa Cruz to Monterey. This will be the first time a relay team has officially attempted to make this crossing. The race is 25 miles straight across the bay with an average water temperature of 56 degrees. We will not be aided by the help of wetsuits. Just speedos, caps and goggles. We are in need of donations to help out with the cost of registration fees, boat and captains fees, support crew fees as well as food and liquids to help power is through. We hope to raise $1,200 to help offset our costs for the race. Any little bit will greatly help us reach our goal of successfully completing our swim. There is a live tracker that you can follow our progress:www.swimmontereybay.org/live-tracking.com
