Ewell Cricket Club Pitch Roller Fund
Donation protected
Ewell Cricket Club has a long-standing history in Surrey, promoting cricket and serving its immediate and broader community.
The club has an excellent, year-round youth coaching programme with an additional emphasis on girls' cricket. We foster an environment that celebrates diversity, achieving an atmosphere where every child and player can flourish.
The club has five active junior teams, three Saturday league teams, and two Sunday teams, so it must constantly prepare pitches for at least 6 months of the year. Our pitch roller broke down last year, so we leased one. The cost of this has strained the club's finances. We are not a wealthy cricket club, and we keep our subscription fees relatively low to make ourselves accessible to the broader community.
The club needs to purchase a new roller for future seasons and has decided on a new electric roller with environmental sustainability in mind. The cost of the electric roller is £17,000. The ECB was kind enough to give us a grant of £10,000 towards the cost, but we are still short of £7,000. The pitch roller is essential for our upcoming cricket season. We would be grateful for any contributions that help us raise the required funds and support the future prosperity of the club.
