Family Move After Tragedy

Hello,

My children (ages 10 and 5) recently lost their father unexpectedly at 37 years old. He was an innocent bystander gunned down viciously. He loved his family enormously and had a heart of gold. He was known as a protector and put his children, wife, and family above all. He has always been the glue that kept his entire family together. My babies and I are brokenhearted with nothing but memories and heartache.

Today we are left in a home and city that not only reminds us of him but also the tragedy that hit our family. I am searching for smiles and sunshine again.

My parents have always played a major role in our lives, but moved to Florida 2 years ago and now during this time I feel alone. I would like for us to relocate closer to them for comfort and a sense of security. This city is weighing us down and we long for a new beginning. Everything here reminds us of our loss. I not only look forward to my children finding their happy place again but having better opportunities and attending better schools. My son starts kindergarten in a month and his dad will not be there to see his first day. I have to give them a chance at life and find a way for us to be happy again.

I have returned to my full-time job but know I cannot afford this move. Preparing for his services has actually caused more debt.

Please help us relocate to Florida by September 1, 2023. I have an apartment lined up but cannot afford the cost of moving or first months rent.

Their father will remain in our hearts and the pain will follow us forever. We will never lose our love for him or forget the love we had in our current home for almost 10 years. This house will just never feel the same.
