Ewing Sarcoma Operation

Hi friends, I am helping a friend raise money for their daughter's surgery (a costly operation, $230k).

A little girl, Vita (06.09.2019), is 5 years old and has Ewing Sarcoma and is waiting for an operation at the INJE University Haeundae Paik Hospital.

Here is what Vita's mom shared:

On April 19, 2023, Vita experienced pain and swelling in her left breast. At the hospital, she was diagnosed with mastopathy and was advised to see a pediatric surgeon. The following day, the ultrasound showed no abnormalities, but Vita was diagnosed with mastodynia and prescribed antibiotics.

However, Vita developed a high fever and fatigue. Further tests at the children's hospital revealed fluid in her left lung. She was immediately hospitalized, and a CT scan showed a large tumour, destruction of two ribs, and excessive lung fluid.

On April 25 2023, Vita underwent surgery where two ribs and the tumour were removed, and fluid was drained. The tumour was identified as Ewing's Sarcoma, a fast-progressing malignancy.

Despite treatment, the tumour regrew and was unresponsive to a second round of therapy. We were informed that no further treatment options were available and were sent home to die.

Nevertheless, we refuse to give up. The INJE University Haeundae Paik Hospital has offered to treat Vita, but the cost is considerable ($230k)."
