As some of you may be aware, our good friend Dr. Sydney Lewis has been battling depression and anxiety for some time (She has lived with the diagnosis for 25 years). She has tried a variety of treatments , none of which has delivered the cure they promised, the window of relief growing shorter with each try, every failure part of the horrific Groundhog's Day spiral that is life with depression.

FORTUNATELY, our favorite #Slytherfemme is not going down without a fight. She was recently approved for TMS Therapy . According to the MAYO Clinic, "Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven't been effective."
Monday, September 16th, Sydney begins the first of a series of treatments (40!) over the next 8-10 weeks. While she is fortunate enough to have insurance, it will not cover all of it. They estimate there will be at least $1,000 to pay out of pocket (which for most of us, might as well be $100,000)
No one should have to worry if they can afford to save their life, or if it is even worth saving.
I'm not asking for charity ( although if I were, I know none more worthy) but an investment: Simply put - this world needs Dr. Sydney Fonteyn Lewis in it, and needs to make every possible effort to manifest that.
In the coming weeks, I'm asking everyone to hold virtual space for our friend by contributing to her upcoming medical expenses. Let's make this one less obstacle hanging over her head as she literally fights for her life.
LET'S GET IT!!!
