Exist Loudly Fund to Support Queer Black YP

My name is Tanya Compas, you can check out my Instagram Here to get a better idea of who I am.
To keep it short, I am an award winning youth worker, community organiser and founder of Queer Black Christmas. After working in the charity sector for 6 years delivering programming and supporting vulnerable young people, I have realised that there is no better time than now to finally set up Exist Loudly as an official organisation and create programming for Queer Black Young People here in London, with the intention to explore how to support young queer Black people outside of London digitally.
A throwback to Queer Black Christmas 2019, celebrating Christmas alongside Queer Black Young people experiencing homelessness or living in hostile home environments.
I am calling upon community, friends, chosen family and allies to help me fundraise £10,000 that I can put towards creating tangible change for Queer Black Young people in London and also nationally/internationally digitally.
£13 will cover the cost of 1 young person to attend an online workshop/talk
£35 will cover 1 mentoring session for 1 Queer Black Young Person
£50 will cover the cost of 1 Queer Black Young person to attend the group activity/fun.
£350 will cover the cost of a day of mentoring
£400 will cover the cost of a workshop facilitator/speaker
£1,100 will cover 1 month of programming including one mentor meeting and one group workshop/talk
£1,000 would cover 1 outing for a group of up to 20 queer Black young people (including food, travel, activity) OR would cover materials to send to the young people to complete the activity at home
£10,000 should cover the cost of setting up Exist Loudly as a CIC, (including setting up a website and covering DBS Checks), monthly mentor meetings, monthly workshops/talks and at least 3 group outtings/activities for up to 4 months.
Any extra money fundraised will go towards covering the cost of Queer Black Christmas, which is an annual celebration for Queer Black Young people who are expriencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. Queer Black Christmas gives Queer Black young people a safe space to exist loudly as their full Queer Black selves, without fear. Young people are provided with a 3 course meal, a gift worth up to £50, tonnes of gifts and money to cover travel for young people coming from both London and outside of London.
Young Queer Black people deserve a space for joy, space for community, space to find chosen family and a space to explore their identity as being both queer and Black, without feeling like they have to minimise or hide any parts of themselves. Please donate so we can help to provide this space for them!
