Please help me lay my mom to rest.

Hi, my name is Samantha, and I am Angela’s oldest daughter. My mom was killed in a fatal pedestrian hit and run on 5/28/23. She was walking in Lakewood, Colorado at around 9pm. Unfortunately, someone struck her as she was crossing the street and left the scene of the the crime. My mom laid bleeding in the middle of the road until another vehicle struck her as they did not see her body. They were the ones who stopped and called for help. My mom died at 11pm that night despite the best efforts of the medical staff at the hospital. Unfortunately, my mom was not prepared financially for something like this to happen and neither were we. Of course we all think we are going to live until a ripe old age warm in our beds surrounded by our family. Unfortunately, that was not the case for my beautiful, full of life, 49 year old mama. She still had so much left to give to this world, and so much time left to spend with her five young children. She will miss so much, because a very selfish person took her from us too early and couldn’t even be bothered to call 911. The emotional toll this has taken on my family has been an extremely difficult roller coaster, but on top of it we are struggling to pick up all the pieces my mom left behind, trying to help police catch her killer to get my mom and family justice, and make funeral arrangements all while being out of state.
