Help Sarah provide immigration services

I have been working as a therapist and it's been very meaningful to me after years of working in non-profits. However, I want to expand the services I can provide to extend beyond outpatient therapy, which is very often not accessible to many people. For most of my career, I've worked in programs helping people navigate criminal or immigration systems for non-profits where I wasn’t able to provide the care they needed due to the limitations of the systems. As a result, I've always prioritized mixed-status families, immigrants, first-generation, people of color, etc. However, there is still a huge gap in services and a disturbing lack of therapists/social workers of color in the field. In addition, I've struggled to keep up with colleagues with generational wealth to get trained in specialties that are important to me.
I am working on getting trained to provide immigration assessments for people seeking U-Visa, VAWA, Extreme Hardship, and Asylum. Not enough therapists provide these services, and many of those who do lack lived experience with these issues and/or have little experience working with immigration or correctional systems. These issues are very close to me. I have provided these services while working for non-profits and am a first-generation American myself.
For me to provide these services, I'll need to go through an expensive training program requiring me to take unpaid time off. I really want to continue working with immigrants and it would mean so much to me to have your support.
