Expand Sound Conservatory's Musical Reach

Donation protected
Dear Community Partners,

At Sound Conservatory, we are driven by a shared passion: creating exceptional musical experiences that bring our community together. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to making world-class performances accessible to everyone, regardless of income. Our mission is to celebrate artistry and build bridges between audiences and musicians in a welcoming, inclusive space.

As an educational institution, we are proud to be the largest music academy in the region, now serving over 370 students each week. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of music education to students of all ages, skill levels, and interests. Additionally, we are committed to creating an environment where music educators can thrive professionally, earning a respectable income in an institution that deeply values their exceptional talents and the years of dedication it took to refine them into world-class educators.

We believe our performance space not only provides our community and students with access to a diverse array of world-class performances but also serves as a platform for students to experience professional-level performance opportunities through its use for recitals.

In 2025, we are honored to host performances for Quad City Arts as well as the Bix Jazz Society. As we continue to grow, we aim to collaborate with additional organizations, offering them access to a world-class performance venue that elevates their artistic endeavors.

Today, we’re embarking on an exciting new chapter that will expand our ability to serve this mission and enrich our community. To achieve this vision, we are seeking your support to help us fund the construction of a 100-120 seat mezzanine at Sound Conservatory.

Why a Mezzanine? The addition of a 100-120 seat mezzanine will enable us to:

  • Host Larger Audiences: By increasing seating capacity to 320 seats, we can welcome more attendees to enjoy performances without raising ticket prices.
  • Attract World-Class Talent: More seating ensures we can bring bigger and more renowned performers to our community, elevating the cultural offerings available locally while maintain low ticket prices.
  • Support Artists: Enhanced capacity ensures professional musicians have a space worthy of their talents, fostering creative expression and collaboration.

This project aligns with our unwavering commitment to making the arts accessible while benefiting our community in meaningful ways. Our performance series has a profound impact, bringing joy, inspiration, and connection to residents and visitors alike.

How You Can Help
We invite you to partner with us in this mission. By contributing to the mezzanine fund, you’ll play an integral role in:

  • Expanding access to cultural experiences in our community.
  • Supporting a venue that showcases the immense talents of artists from near and far.
  • Helping ensure that Sound Conservatory continues to be a vibrant, affordable space for music and connection.

Thank You for Your Support
We deeply appreciate the ongoing support you have shown us. Together, we’ve already achieved so much, and we are excited about the opportunities this project will bring to the Quad Cities. Your generosity will leave a lasting legacy in our community, ensuring great music continues to inspire and unite us for generations to come.

Our goal is to move forward with the project in May of 2025 and hope for an August completion!
