Expansion of Grief Support Services

Guyana Golden Lives Organization (GGLO) is a nonprofit entity that seeks to raise awareness about childhood bereavement in Guyana and the Caribbean. We are seeking funding to expand and effectively meet the demand for our grief support services.

GGLO supports children and families affected by grief and loss through the provision of support services specifically created to respond to the psychological, emotional and financial challenges of children and families after the death/loss of a parent or loved one. The vision is to provide comfort and support to children and adults from all backgrounds.

Guyana Golden Lives Organization’s programmes and activities:

1. Psychological- Grief counselling, grief recovery, trauma informed interventions

2. Psychosocial- Grief camps, picnic/movie dates, home visits, financial assistance

3. Education- Scholarships, workshops, training

We advocate for and work towards creating a more sustainable grief support network.

GGLO’s programmes promote positive coping skills and help nurture resilience while providing a safe space for children and those who support them to explore their grief and improve health and well-being.
