Debbie Downer

I hate to be a Debbie Downer...but Deb did go down. Very fast and with much force! Ha! I joke, but I am dealing with a serious injury and find myself in a bit of a pickle.

As those of you in my life are aware, I have been a single mom for the last two years. After spending the majority of my adult life raising my family and not having a career outside the home, I have been working very hard to build my income and support my family as we build our new life.

Unfortunately, on June 26th, I had a terrible fall down a flight of stairs. This resulted in a shattered wrist, and I am unable to do much of anything until it is properly fixed. I do have a surgery date for July 3rd, for which I am very grateful.

When all is said and done, I will have a significant loss of income while I recover. With some trepidation, I am asking my friends and family to support me in any way that they can. This is a very short term crisis, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work towards financial security for me and my kids.
