Expenses for 5 Week Old Callie’s Tombstone & Plot
*** PLEASE READ THE ‘UPDATES’ ***
Nothing can compare to how you feel when you lose a child. Nothing can cheer you up, make you smile, or make you stop questioning yourself on whether or not you could have done anything to prevent this tragedy from happening..
While nothing can make you feel any better about it, you can most certainly feel worse - when you see that while you are enduring the excruciating pain of losing your baby, you now also have to figure out how you could possibly afford their funeral costs, how you can support your surviving children as a single parent who is out of work due to the complications of giving birth and a world wide pandemic, and how you want to be strong for them but everything just seems to be going against you...
That is what the Kidwell family is currently feeling after losing their 5 week old daughter and sister, Callie.
Callie was a fighter since birth, she was born with Downs Syndrome and the complications that arise with it such as heart issues. She spent her first few days in infant ICU where we all waited with baited breath for the day she would be released. When she finally was able to come home we instantly fell in love!
She made the goofiest faces and noises, we called her piggy because of her cute little snorts, and we let the fear that we had felt while she was in ICU disappear because she was finally home!
We would never expect that 5 short weeks later Callie would suddenly stop breathing.
We never expected to get that call of agony that our baby girl was gone. We never expected that the last time we saw her would actually be the last time. If I’m feeling this much pain as a close family friend, I can’t imagine how much pain they are feeling.
This gofundme is here to help raise money for Callie’s grave plot and tombstone. Any and all donations will go towards that goal first, and anything after that will help support the grieving family as they try to get back on their feet.
If you can’t donate yourself - please pray and share this for others to see.
We appreciate any and all help and hope too that you will never have to experience this pain.
Bless
