Expenses for Alaina Cameron

Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend. We miss her madly already. She lived hard, played hard, fought hard, and is gone. I am using my mom privilege and have taken over this page.

Alaina was a smart, talented, successful and sweet woman who stood by her family and friends. She was a talented esthetician and truly cared about her clients. She loved fiercely - just ask Justin - enjoyed a good horror movie, a unique cocktail, and was an awesome mom.

She made it through breast cancer treatment and had some good months, but it wasn't nearly long enough, at least for me. When it came back, it took her in less than a month.

She passed away in my living room in Astoria. She did not leave "peacefully". She was directing us right up until she wasn't. We did what we could to support her and keep her pain-free. She asked me if I thought it was OK for her to go yesterday morning and I said yes. She said, "OK. I'm leaving today." Always in control, at 9:36 last night she flamed out.

If you would like to do something in honor of Alaina now that she is gone, this is the place. Any funds left after medical expenses are paid will be added to the trust fund for the boys - Desmond (21) and Henry (6).
