Expenses for Alec, Paige & Ella Brown

My name is Emily, I am Paige’s sister. I am creating this in order to hopefully help Paige and Alec on this unfathomable journey they have encountered.

Ella Kathryn Brown was born March 4, 2023 into our family and we have all been head over heels for her. On April 6th Ella was admitted to Niswonger children’s hospital for seizures. After tests they quickly learned that Part of Ella’s little brain was not formed correctly. That part of her brain is causing the seizures. They will most likely transfer Ella to another hospital (possibly Memphis) in order to try to control the seizures. There is a possibility that she will need brain surgery to correct them. There are so many uncertainties at this moment. We are asking for prayer mainly but also donations. Paige and Alec are both missing work right now. There is no specific amount of time they will need to be off work. These funds will help with travel expenses, personal bills and most likely medical expenses. If you feel it in your heart to donate please do. You will be appreciated more than you know.

UPDATE: 4/12/23- Ella is being transferred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. There they will hopefully find some more answers a get a plan of action for treatment. There she will possibly have brain surgery to hopefully help with seizures. At this moment they do not know how long they will be there.

copied from her Moma on 4/10/23 “Here’s an update on our baby girl. The medications have not helped with the seizures. The frequency continues to increase. But they’re staying in one area of her brain. We will be transferred to Memphis and are looking at brain surgery. It’s hard to imagine your 5 week old baby having brain surgery but her neurologist here seems confident that will stop the seizures that she’s having. The part of Ella’s brain that didn’t form right will never “grow” or develop into what it’s supposed to be. Her life might look a little different than most but… that’s okay. She has a purpose and SHE is my purpose. Dr. Anderson said earlier ”you may feel like your dreams for your baby are gone but… we’ll make new ones” Ella is my whole world. To me, she is nothing less than perfect. And as you can see… she’s the most beautiful girl in the whole world.”
