Expenses for Bernstetter and Davis families

Hi everyone, Zac here. Sorry the lengthy post, but we know we can count on you all to step up and help us support some families who could use some love from the community.

Two days ago, there was a serious car accident that has deeply impacted a couple different families who are very important to us at The Rusty Nail. It took the life of a father of two and seriously injured a couple whose lives revolve around improving the quality of life for our veterans.

Joey was a classmate of mine, and even though we didn’t spend much time together outside of church youth group and school, I’ll always remember how kind, funny, and genuine he was. He loved his two kids - Carter, 15 and Olivia, 13 - so very much. His family has been friends of Brianna and myself for a long time.

Mitch and Vi are board members for Veterans Home R & R and work tirelessly to bring recreational activities to our veterans that are not available through state funding. We sponsor their events they throw throughout the year, and they love stopping by our bar for a meal and a Busch Light on a weekly basis.

This weekend, we will be donating a portion of our sales to Joey’s family, the Davis family, and to Veterans Home R & R to help with various bills from the accident and continue the spirit of serving our veterans. We will also be taking donations from patrons who feel inclined to support a couple local families who need their community right now. We know we can count on you!
