Expenses for care for Roger

Hi, this is Heather, Roger and Sharon’s daughter. My dad was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. They found a spot on his sacrum and thought it to be bone cancer. After a PET SCAN they found a spot on his lung. They biopsied both spots and found that it was neither bone nor lung cancer. The end of November they found a spot on his kidney and were going to biopsy that spot. But, dad ended up in the hospital after one round of immunotherapy. While in the hospital he became very sick and weak. On New Year’s Eve I took him to the emergency room because his oxygen saturation was below 70. They ran several tests including a CT Scan and found that the cancer has spread rapidly to several spots in his lungs and now there are spots in his liver and lymph nodes. He has CUP cancer, Cancer of Unknown Primary. He is so weak that he is unable to even get up and walk. I am the only one who is able to take care of him, I can lift and carry him when he needs to get up. He needs 24/7 care. Due to all this he also was the only caregiver to mom who has Parkinson’s and is unable to walk and get around on her own safely. Unfortunately I will have to take a leave of absence from work and this will leave us with no income to take care of our home and bills in South Carolina. Also, there have been medical bills accumulating for both him and my mother. We are asking our friends and family for any help we can get so we can take care of the man who has been my daddy, Alaina and Taylor’s “daddy” pappy. He has asked me to please not leave him that he needs me. Roger has selflessly given himself to children’s ministry for years at Good Shepherd and a youth leader here in Pennsylvania. He would’ve and Still would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Now, for the first time in their lives, they’re the ones in need. So, I’m asking for help for them. Please know that we love and appreciate every single person who has ever touched our family.
