Expenses for Josh Hobbs during recovery

Hello, my name is Brittany - I am raising funds for my brother Josh who was in an accident on 01/04/2023 that cost him his right leg. He is my brother yes , but also an amazing father, friend a marine veteran. As a marine he served six years, he deployed to Afghanistan. He was honorably discharged & returned home to southern NJ.

any funds raised will cover his living expenses while he is not working and in recovery from his injuries until his long term arrangements are aligned.

On January 4th 2023 my brother & best friend was in a horrible accident, he went to work thinking it was a typical day. Later that morning he has involved in a machine accident where the lower section of his leg was severed and he was flown to a trauma center. He under went a surgery where the surgeon was able to repair some of the damages but the trauma was so vast and great that he had a below the knee amputation & it’s not the ideal or typical procedure or style. But due to his age and health otherwise he is believed to be a good candidate for a prosthetic, he spent six days in that hospital and under went a blood transfusion with only a few hiccups. upon his release and transferring to a rehab center he was sent back to a hospital where he underwent another group of blood transfusions and several operations for infections, it was determined the infections and trauma were too severe and the amputation would need to be taken higher to an above the knee one.

We are far from out of the woods- but he is a marine & my brothers fighting spirit will do him great in adversity.

This has altered his life tremendously & since he has a 3 year old daughter and will be not returning to work for the unseen future, it is my hope that this can help cover some of his living expenses until he is able to get everything situated. Catastrophic events happen & we never think they could happen to us or our family, but my is truly a miracle my brother is here and for that alone I am grateful- if you can donate or share it is greatly appreciated. Any funds raised will go towards wages lost while in recovery to cover the cost of living expenses and upon release from his facilities care while at home until his finances are allocated from this life altering accident. Joshua prides himself on being a loving dad, and good friend & enjoys being outdoors. He will often take his daughter disc golfing with him and his team mates and it is one of their favorite Sunday activities !
