Expenses for Knox Family

Hi! My name is Kayla. I am fundraising for my in laws, Diane and Norm. My husband’s parents have been through so much in the past year. My mother in law was diagnosed with lung cancer early last year. She has gone through chemo and radiation and finally got a clean bill of health in October of 2022. Unfortunately my father in law has been having some breathing issues and heart issues for a couple of months. In July he had open heart surgery to replace a valve in his heart in Baltimore. He got through that but hasn’t been able to work since. When they did his heart surgery they found out that he had colon cancer. On September 2nd he had an emergency colon reaction and a perforated bowel. He has been in and out of the hospital since then with heart issues and swelling. Yesterday September 25th he was rushed to the emergency room and put on a ventilator because his heart was too weak to pump and lungs were too weak to breathe. After testing they have found out that he has a blood infection and the colon cancer has metastasized all through his trunk of his body. Unfortunately there is nothing that they can do to save him.

With great sadness, Norm has passed away as of last night September 26th 2023.

They are currently receiving no help for assistance and there is no life insurance. She is going to need help with food, rent and utilities until she can get some financial help. Diane and my husband also do not have the money for the cremation for him.
