Expenses for Renita and Calecia
Donation protected
Calecia is 15 years old. She is currently hospitalized for the third time this year at Saint Francis Children's Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What is wrong with Calecia is still the question. We do know she has Pseudotumor Cerebri, which causes fluid to build on the brain and spine, however there are still many other unexplained symptoms. Preliminary testing shows evidence of Lupus and Sjogrens syndrome, both of which are auto immune diseases.
While testing and diagnosis are continuing, the doctors feel she would be better suited to move to a childrens hospital that specializes in these diseases.
Due to the extent and serious nature of the diseases and the symptoms, Saint Francis Childrens hospital has made the decision to transfer Calecia to Cook's Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.
While Calecia is fully insured, there are still other expenses that must be incurred by this single mother of 2 young girls, especially since mom must accompany Calecia to Fort Worth and is not able to work.
