Expenses to help the family of Jessica Howe

My brother Kevin and Sister in Law Jessica should be celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary this week, unfortunately due to a fall at work causing her to hit her head Jessica is on life support in the hospital. My brother, her 5 year old son and their 1 year old daughter will being going through so much including a drastic change in income and my brother will have to take unpaid time off and emergency child care expenses. Anything you can donate to help is appreciated.

I will be updating this GoFundMe with updates on her condition and info as I can. So check back frequently.

UPDATE: 4/17

Wow. My family and I are completely blown away by the generosity and support of people, a good number of whom are total strangers.

I wished the news matched the positivity of this generosity, however it does not and it seems we are in for a harder time than previously thought. I have upped the fundraiser to 10k. We are already almost there, I just want my brother, and her children to be taken care of. Kevin shouldn't have to choose between going to work and taking care of his family right now.

Her son Johnny is 5 and is going to have memories of his mother and the memories of the generous people who stepped up to help.

Serena will have no memories of her mother, we will have to tell her how sweet and kind her mother was. She's a sweet baby and takes after her mom that way.

Thank you all again. I will be getting more information today but I wanted to reach out and just share how thankful we all are.

Update 4/17 pt 2. Thank you. Truly can't thank everyone of you enough.

Unfortunately, there is nothing more doctors can do. She will be taken off life support within 24 hours. Even in death Jess was always trying to help others and made sure she was listed as an organ donor. The hospital is allowing some last visitors and finding the best matches to receive the organs she will be donating and it gives me some peace knowing that some of her will be continuing on in the world, she is saving lives, a true hero.

We do not know the extent of help we will be getting for her final expenses so if you wish to donate further please know it will be used for whatever Kevin and the kids need.

My mother told Kevin today that every dollar he receives is someone showing support and compassion and telling him they care.

For those more food inclined I will be doing a meal train as well.

My brother has lost the love of his life, his partner, the mother of his step son and daughter, the person he vowed to make his world. Please keep him in your thoughts.

UPDATE: 4/17 PT 3.

Jess officially left us at 8:55 pm tonight, surrounded by some loved ones. To be honest the amount of people that loved her wouldn't have fit in the hospital wing. Her organs will help save others and that's the kind of person Jessica was. Please stay tuned for any more updates I may have to give though please understand I am with my family.
