Just Off Broadway will dazzle, inspire, and captivate audiences.

Just Off Broadway's collection will include items from classic movies such as The Wizard of Oz, Show Boat from (1951), Meet Me in St. Louis, Gone With the Wind.

Just Off Broadway will be a one-of-a-kind, cultural destination in Hastings, Michigan, that will immerse visitors in the artistic and cultural tapestry of the 20th century. By celebrating art, design, and popular culture, it provides a window into the past, a spark for the present, and a foundation for the future. Its mission is to inspire, educate, and connect generations through arts and cultural artifacts from the 20th century.

The collected funds will go toward operating costs of the museum which includes the following:

• Exhibit Development and Installation: $50,000
• Educational Programs and Workshops: $30,000
• Community Outreach and Partnership Initiatives: $20,000
• Staffing and Administration: $15,000
• Contingency: $5,000
Total Budget Request: $120,000

Dennison Collection at Hastings Public Library in 2020.

Collector Terry Dennison discussing the dress Marge Champion wore in Show Boat (1951). The dress was designed by Oscar winner Walter Plunkett whose clothing also appeared in An American in Paris, Singing in the Rain, and Gone with the Wind.

Wardrobe Board obtained from actress and dancer Ann Miller. These boards were used to identify wardrobes when wardrobe test photos were taken.



Coat (L) worn by Barbara Whiting in Centennial Summer (1946). The white dress was worn by Mitzi Gaynor who starred in South Pacific.

Outfit worn by Russ Tamblyn in The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm (1962). Tamblyn was also in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. His daughter, Amber is also an actor.
