Expressions of Sympathy for Anita Jackson

Anita Jackson (born July 31, 1954) passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, February 7th, 2021, and Heaven gained an angel.

Her Obituary 

Her life will be celebrated Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home in Louisville, KY at the corner of 13th and Chestnut Streets.  There will be a walk through visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a private funeral for family and closest loved ones. She was a member of Bates Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, KY and the service will be officiated by its ministers. The funeral will be available to view virtually from the funeral home’s website at www.adporters.com.  Following the funeral, Anita will be cremated per her wishes.

We have been overwhelmed with love, support and offers of financial assistance.  The family does not require assistance with the costs for her memorial services.  And in lieu of flowers, we welcome donations to this campaign as expressions of sympathy.  Any funds collected will be donated to three organizations that meant a lot to Anita - her church, Bates; The Healing Place in Louisville, KY where she pursued recovery from substance abuse issues; and to the Louisville Urban League's Project Ready program.
