Help Kelly's Family Pay Bills After Her Passing

Assist me in helping my mother, a cancer patient, find medical relief where insurance refuses to help. Kelly Jawor started her cancer journey 13 years ago in 2012 and it has come back twice since with the addition of spreading to her brain and spine. Thanks to years of treatment, fatigue and medically related dietary restrictions, she has experienced severe muscle atrophy. This has taken away her ability to walk on her own -now wheelchair bound. On March 9th, my mother experienced a seizure brought on by a brain bleed, landing her in the Emergency Room. She has been staying in Hoag for Acute Rehab ever since. While this is happening, my father ran into a post-op complication of his own. This landed him in the hospital for a few days, subtracting from what might’ve given us more wiggle room with mom’s hospital fees. Through daily monitoring and physical therapy, my mother has been showing slow but steady signs of improvement. Unfortunately, Insurance doesn’t consider her pace of improvement to be strong enough to justify covering her visits past March 23rd (Sunday). This means she’d go home on Monday before she’s physically ready. The original plan was to stay until the 28th of this month and that is still our goal. When we received the news that Insurance was refusing to cover her treatment, my mom’s expression broke my heart - she knows she isn’t ready to be home yet. Still weak and in pain, she is determined to get better. We are doing what we can to change Insurance’s mind and find ways to be able to afford the treatment that my mom requires. Through her stay in the hospital, Kelly is aiming to get strong enough to go home safely on proper terms. Our family is appreciative of any and all who consider sharing and donating, so that my mom can continue getting the treatment she deserves.
