Nathan's Medical Expenses
As many of you know our 5 yr old, Nathan, was diagnosed with Leukemia on February 12th 2019. We spent over three months out of state for his treatment. He is in the continuation phase of treatment now, and just finished week 12 out of 120. His treatment is expensive since we have to travel an hour away for treatment each week. We were told it was mandatory that he receive certain treatments when his immune system was already severely compromised. They instead went against our wishes and, he's now in the hospital with fever, chills, vomiting, and an ANC (Absolute Neutrophil count or adult white blood cells) of ZERO. Normal count is 1600 - 8000. His leukocyte count was at .03 (Not even a full cell) and normal count is between 4999-10000. We were told his bone marrow is suppressed and can not make healthy wbc's (white blood cells).
