eXxpedition - Leg 11, Tonga - Fiji

Hi Friends!  I am launching this GoFundMe page to raise money for eXxpedition 'Round The World voyage,  
which is an all-female sailing voyage and research mission to explore plastics and toxics in our ocean.  I will be a
crew member for the Tonga - Fiji leg, in May of 2020.  As a crew member, I am responsible for raising $4,000
to help cover the costs of running the voyage.  Any additional funds will help cover my travel expenses to/from
the South Pacific or go directly to the exXpedition non-profit.

This is an opportunity to experience first hand the challenges of single-use plastics while, contributing
to cutting-edge scientific research.  I'll be using my photography skills to document our journey, while also
collecting water samples which will be examined for plastic contaminates.  Once we reach land, we will 
work with the Fijian community to learn about their challenges with plastics in the ocean and collaborate on
solutions.
