Pippa's Community Café & other work with EYAI clients.

EYAI wanted to use St. Johns' Chapel for a community centre, not convert it into more houses.
Unfortunately, we were not able to raise the funds, or partner with someone who had the financial means to make this a reality and sadly it's now been bought for houses.

We have therefore been working on a smaller project which is a pop up Café at Stone Village Hall which takes place on Friday afternoons between 2pm and 5pm, which changed it's name to Pippa's Community Café in memory of Rev. Pippa Soundy, co-founder of EYAI summer 2024.
The object of this, alongside offering an afternoon café to the local community, will be to support EYAI clients who are not confident enough to work in the community yet with customer services and catering skills to build on their skills and confidence before moving into employment in the wider community.

There is an area in the café for the local community should they need it, with information on various organisations they can be referred to for additional support. For those within EYAI age criteria, this can also include further support by EYAI. A support worker will also be offered expenses for their support with this.

The café opened on the 15th September 2023 with the first 6 months rent covered through donations.
Although the income from this has increased over the last 6 months, we are still not making enough money to cover our outgoings and therefore are asking for more support please with this whilst getting ourselves more established. with a further £800 to help us through the next 6 months.

Every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause. That means so much to us. Your contribution will impact whether you donate a lot or a little. Anything helps.

We appreciate your support.
