Cornea Eye Surgery - Dana Simmons

As many of you know, my mom had a stroke back in January 2021. We thank God that she survived it and that she's making some progress as time goes on! However, she needs to have surgery on her eye. She has a scratch on her cornea and it will not heal on it's own. The surgery will put a patch on her cornea and sew her eyelid down for 6 weeks. This may be the only thing that will help her eye heal.

If they can fix her cornea, then they can treat her retina and eventually she may be able to go back to work and drive again. She was able to go back for a time, but her eyesight is becoming a roadblock. It's been an emotional roller coaster and full of ups and downs in her recovery. She had her surgery scheduled for January but then found out that they needed money up front for her surgery, so she had to cancel it for the time being.

My mom really needs this surgery and I wanted to try this for her. If you feel it on your heart to donate, you'll be a blessing to my mom. If giving isn't an option, then I ask for your prayers. Pray for healing in her eyes, and that she will have her vision corrected. Pray for the pain she feels in her body. She's making some progress and is able to walk some and her voice seems like it's getting stronger, but she is still trying to recover. Pray not only for her physical body, but for her mind and spirit. This is a really discouraging and frustrating time, but God is faithful and He is good!
