Eye surgery For Paul Aubrey
Donation protected
Friends,
You may or may not know that Paul has had and accident and his vision is severely diminished. He's had diabetes for a number of years, but has had it under control for the past year or so. He has put in some great effort with diet and exercise and he underwent some successful treatment for Diabetic retinopathy and his eyes were stable.

However, in an unfortunate accident last month he slipped and fell, hitting his head. The impact ruptured some already damaged blood vessels in his eyes, which caused him to be nearly completely blind and unable to drive or work. He may need eye surgery, We'll know in 4 weeks. In the meantime, he has expenses and is unable to work, and will have medical expenses associated with his eye surgery. He doesn't have any family nearby and is essentially on his own with the exception of a few friends checking in on him from time to time or giving him rides.
He was my boss and has been good friend for 15+ years and always very generous and understanding when it came to personal needs or family matters. Now he needs help and I also know he will be appreciative and be moved by the gesture.
Let's show Paul he has friends that care about him and that the engineering community takes care of its own.
Sincerely,
Heidi Maker Mills
